Honda is a Japanese manufacturer known for automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment. For the rental and events industry, it is notable for its lineup of portable gasoline generators (EU/EM/EB/EG series), which provide standalone power supply at venues, stadiums, and events.

The company was founded by Soichiro Honda: in 1946, the Honda Technical Research Institute was established near Hamamatsu, and on September 24, 1948, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. was officially incorporated. Starting with motorized bicycles, the company moved into motorcycle production in 1949 and has been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959. Honda is the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines (more than 14 million per year); power equipment, including electric generators, is organized under a separate division, Honda Power Equipment. Today the corporation operates in more than 140 countries, producing automobiles, motorcycles, power equipment, aircraft engines, and HondaJet aircraft.
