Le Maitre #1041

Le Maitre is a British manufacturer of pyrotechnics and stage special effects for the entertainment industry. It produces stage pyrotechnics (the Pyroflash and Prostage II lines), smoke/fog/haze machines, flame projectors, confetti, and streamers for theater, film, concerts, festivals, and stadiums.

The company was founded in 1977 (co-founders included Rick Wilson and Harold Berlinsky) and debuted at the Discotheque '77 trade show in London, presenting the Pyroflash system based on patented encapsulated pyrotechnic technology with a safe two-contact electrical controller. In 1980 a pyrotechnics factory was officially opened in Peterborough. Over nearly 50 years Le Maitre has grown to a catalog of more than 1,500 products and become one of the world's leading pioneers in pyrotechnics and special effects; in 2017 the company celebrated its 40th anniversary. An American subsidiary, Le Maitre USA LLC, was opened, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
