Leyard (Leyard Optoelectronic Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese manufacturer of LED displays and visualization systems; a world leader by LED display production volume, known for large-format video walls and fine-pixel-pitch LED screens for the event, broadcast, and installation markets.
The company was founded in 1995 in Beijing's Zhongguancun district, starting with 16 employees. In 1998, it launched China's first full-color LED display, and in 2008 its screens were used at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. In March 2012, Leyard went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (ChiNext, ticker 300296). As part of its international expansion, it acquired the American company Planar Systems in 2015 and the German company eyevis in 2018.
