Nivtec (nivtec-flexibel Bühnensysteme GmbH) is a German manufacturer of modular, demountable staging platforms, stages, grandstands, galleries, stairs, and ramps for the rental and events industry. Known for its patented fast, fastener-free assembly system featuring the Klick-Klack lock.
The company was founded on April 1, 1999 by engineer Dipl. Ing. Tadeusz Kruszewski, who developed and patented a more practical system of modular staging platforms. The first prototype was presented in March 1999 at the Prolight + Sound trade show in Frankfurt, and by March 2000 the system had already gained recognition through a 540 sq.m stage built for the EXPO World's Fair in Hanover. After the founder's sudden death in 2004, Maria G. Kruszewski took over management of the company. Between 2015 and 2017, production was switched from steel to aluminum, and by 2018 the 150,000th platform had been produced, with Nivtec products now used in more than 50 countries.
