Stagemaker is a French brand of electric chain hoists for the entertainment industry, a division of Verlinde S.A.S. It manufactures lifting equipment for stage rigging — SL and SR series hoists, controllers, load sensors, and accessories for building stages, concerts, and shows.
The Stagemaker brand was launched in 1975, when the French lifting equipment manufacturer Verlinde (founded in 1858) released its first electric hoist for the show industry — the Stagemaker Litachain L104 — and entered the professional stage equipment market. Since 1986, Verlinde has been part of the Finnish Konecranes group, a world leader in industrial lifting. Under the Stagemaker brand, the company developed the SL chain hoist line and later the next-generation SR line, becoming one of the world's leading suppliers of lifting equipment for stage and theater.
