Allen & Heath #1014

Allen & Heath is a British manufacturer of professional audio mixers (mixing consoles) for live sound, installations, the DJ industry, and studio recording. Known for its dLive, Avantis, and SQ digital console series, analog consoles, and Xone DJ mixers.

The company was founded in 1968 in London by Andy Bereza and Stephen Baptiste; in its early years it hand-built mixers for the stars of the era — Pink Floyd, The Who, Genesis (including a quadraphonic console for Pink Floyd). Over its history the company has changed hands several times: Harman International (1991), a management buyout (2001), D&M Holdings (2008), and Electra Partners (2013). Since 2014 it has been part of the British Audiotonix group (alongside DiGiCo, Calrec, and SSL). Today its headquarters and R&D operations are based in Cornwall.
